I’m excited to announce the release of the 2nd edition of my book, Questioning Evangelism. In his grace, God has chosen to bless that book far beyond my expectations and hopes. Thanks be to God!
You might wonder how this second edition is different from the first. The short answer is, “It’s not all that different.” A slightly longer answer is:
I updated a few illustrations that might not be familiar to today’s reader.
I corrected a few mistakes (grammatical or technical things like that).
I’ve added a short introduction about what I’ve seen as I’ve spoken about evangelism since the book first came out.
Lee Strobel wrote a nice foreword that affirms the value of asking questions in the evangelistic process.
And it has a new cover!
Here’s the most significant change:
I updated the chapter on homosexuality. In the first edition, I wrote some positive things about Exodus ministries. That umbrella organization has since folded. (I’ve written more about that here). But many, many individual ex-gay ministries still provide excellent care and support for people with unwanted same-sex attraction. I still want to endorse their efforts. And there have been many new resources to offer hope and strength. I list some of those with the hope that people will know that God’s word is still true and transformational, even as our culture careens in disturbing ways,
Please join me in prayer for God to use this second edition to encourage, equip, and embolden many Christians to take steps of faith, to trust God to use them, and to start conversations that can help many, many outsiders find the answers to their deepest questions.
